Over the past 150 years, Canadian communities have flourished with the help of volunteers.
In fact, Canada is known for its generosity. In 2015, we ranked fourth in the World Giving Index, which provides insight into the scope and nature of giving around the world.
Every year, constituents from our very own community of volunteers, not-for-profit organizations and businesses are improving the well-being of communities here in Canada—and they are making an important impact.
This is why the Canada’s Volunteer Awards National Advisory Committee is so important. This is the perfect opportunity to make a difference by recommending Award recipients annually in partnership with the Government of Canada. Committee members ensure that Canadians are recognized for their contributions towards making a difference in their communities—this could even include our community.
If you or someone you know is an expert or leader in the voluntary, not-for-profit or business sector and would be a good candidate for the National Advisory Committee, make sure to put forward your nomination.
For more information on becoming a member of the National Advisory Committee, please visit the Canada’s Volunteer Awards webpage. Interested individuals who want to #makeadifference can submit a nomination for the National Advisory Committee.
The call for nominations closes March 17, 2017.
Be part of the change in your community by contributing to the recognition of outstanding volunteers.
